Happy 2024 from Chaios Media

An amazing year in AI has begun.

Happy 2024 from Chaios Media!

After skipping one edition for Christmas we are back for business. We would like to start out by wishing you an amazing 2024. If 2023 was any indicator we believe 2024 is going to be an extremely exciting year in generative AI and we are grateful for you being part of our journey. We have taken some much needed downtime between Christmas and New Year’s Eve but now it’s time to put the pedal to the metal again. As we’re still recovering from the New Year’s Eve celebrations this edition is a bit shorter than usual but rest assured, a lot of exciting things are coming!

2024 - The year of the anti-AI lawsuits?

It appears that 2024 is going to be a pivotal year for generative AI and the rights (or lack thereof) of creators, whether they’re using AI or not. Big news last week was the lawsuit against OpenAI and Microsoft filed by the New York Times.

Midjourney too seems to be getting into hotter waters lately as people have noticed that the latest 6.0 alpha version is at times spitting out near carbon copies of existing materials. As generative AI lovers of course we want Midjourney to succeed but these developments look somewhat concerning to say the least.

We have noticed armchair experts from both the pro-AI side as well as the anti-AI side offering their 2 cents on X on how this is going to play out but we feel it will be very hard to predict what will actually happen. Maybe we should all start saving for that RTX 4090 just in case we have to take matters in our own hands when it comes to generative AI?

A chat about all things NFTs with Sierra Renee (a.j.a. @juujuumama)

In our very last X space of the year we had an amazing conversation with the wonderful @juujuumama who taught us everything we wanted to know about NFTs but were afraid to ask. If you are interested in exploring this exciting space, make sure you listen to our recording right here. The audience was rather small this week probably because it was New Year’s Eve but believe us when we say this was an exceptionally great episode and we highly recommend you listen to the recording!

Microsoft Copilot keeps adding OpenAI features. For free.

Microsoft CoPilot has become an excellent FREE alternative to ChatGPT. It allows access to GPT-4, DALL-E 3 and has recently even included a plugin to generate music with Suno.ai and many more great features. You’d almost start asking yourself why you’re still paying for ChatGPT. Another cool thing about it is that when using DALL-E 3 image rendering you get 4 renders per query as opposed to only one when using it directly on ChatGPT. If you have not yet tried it yet, check it out right here.

There are even apps for iPhone and Android available to use CoPilot on your phone.
